Als kulinarisch relativ Ungebildeter war für mich bisher ein kühles Pils zu Fritten die ideale Kombination. Aber nach dem Eintauchen in Ants Sommelierkünste öffnete sich nicht nur eine Türe, sondern ein riesiges Tor zu einer neuen Welt des Geschmacks. Jeden Wein, den er kredenzte, ergänzte das Gericht auf dem Teller bis zur Perfektion – und jedes Gericht ergänzte den Wein. So zauberte er selbst aus einem vertrauten Geschmack noch eine neue Note, die einen vom Genuss übermannt gen Himmel sehen ließ. Allein die Kombination aus salzigem Stilton und einem süßen, schweren Port lässt mich heute noch träumen...

Being a culinary illiterate my favourite food-drink pairing had been chips and a cold beer. But once Ant, the sommelier, introduced me to wine and food matching he not only open a door but a huge gate to a new world of taste. Every wine he had chosen perfectly complemented the food on the plate – and every food item complemented the wine. Even in things I have eaten thousands of times he magically added a nuance of taste that has never occurred to me before. Fantastica experiencia con el sumiller Ant. Excelentes consejos para el menú de primera comunión de mi hijo, especialmente con el maridaje de carne y pescado, no solamente el tipo de vino sino también la temperatura para ser servido. Volveré a consultarle en futuras ocasiones. Gracias Ant.....
